pre-booking consultation
Booking a consultation is a relaxed and friendly way for us to connect before you make any decisions. Whether over the phone or in person, this is your chance to get a real sense of what it’s like to work together and see exactly what you’re investing in. I love hearing your love story, learning what makes you two unique, and understanding your vision for the day. Your wedding is deeply meaningful, and my goal is to make sure you feel like you’re spending the day with a friend—not a stranger—so the entire experience feels comfortable, personal, and truly memorable.
FAQ
How far in advance should we book our wedding?
I recommend booking as early as possible to secure your date. Many couples book 12–24 months in advance, especially for weekend weddings.
When should photography coverage begin?
I typically recommend starting photography about one hour before the bride puts on her wedding dress. This allows time to capture the dress, meaningful details, and special moments with loved ones before the day gets busy. Of course, this is just a guideline—we can always customize the timeline to fit your unique wedding day.
Why do you include engagement sessions?
Engagement sessions are included in my Wedding packages and are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your big day. The location is your choice. Travel is included within 100 km of Winnipeg. If you’d like to skip it, I can offer a small discount, but I highly recommend it!
How long will it take to receive our photos?
You’ll receive a sneak peek within a week of your wedding. Your final, fully edited collection is typically delivered within 1-3 months, depending on workload.
Do you provide a second photographer?
Yes! My assistant, who is also a skilled photographer, can step in as a second shooter when needed. This adds extra coverage and allows us to capture more angles and moments throughout your day. If you’d like a dedicated second photographer for the entire wedding, I can arrange that for an additional fee.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I am happy to travel for weddings. Travel fees will apply for locations outside the Winnipeg area.
Do you provide prints or albums?
Digital images are included in all packages. Prints, albums, and other keepsakes can be ordered directly from your Wedding Gallery, if desired.
What happens if you have to cancel?
Photographer Cancellation Policy
I have never had to cancel a wedding and take every precaution to ensure I never have to. The only circumstance in which I would cancel is in the case of a serious medical emergency or something truly beyond my control. If that were to happen, you would receive a full refund, and I would do everything possible to help you find a trusted replacement photographer so your day is still captured beautifully.
Client Cancellation Policy
If you, the client, choose to cancel your wedding, the non-refundable retainer fee will be kept as compensation for reserving your date and for any work already completed. This fee covers the time and potential income lost for that date, as it is unlikely to be rebooked on short notice.
If the wedding is canceled after additional payments have been made, refunds will depend on the work already completed and any expenses already incurred, such as planning, travel, engagement sessions, or editing. I will make every reasonable effort to rebook the canceled date; if I’m able to rebook it, I may offer a partial refund at my discretion.
How does payment work?
To reserve your wedding date, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, payable by e-transfer. This deposit is applied toward your total package cost and guarantees your date is fully secured on my calendar. The remaining balance is due prior to your wedding day. While e-transfer is preferred, I also offer the option to pay securely online by credit card for your convenience.
